Product Name:  Green Gram (Green Gram split)

Scientific Name: Phaseolus aureus Roxb., Phaseolus radiatus Roxb;

51[22. Pulses: (1) This standard applies to the Whole pulse Green gram split (Moong Chilka)  and they shall be free from toxic or noxious seeds and added coloring matter and also applies to mix of various pulses covered in this standard

The Green gram dal (Moong Chilka)  shall conform to the following standards, namely: -

In which mineral matter shall not more than 0.25 % by mass and

Note- * Broken in whole pulse in which the cotyledon is separated or one cotyledon is broken and broken in split pulses are pulses in which the cotyledon is broken.

 DAL CHANA:            Dal Chana shall consist of split grains of gram (Cicer arietinum Linn). as per FSSAI FSS (FOOD PRODUCTS STANDARDS AND FOOD ADDITIVES) REGULATIONS, 2011, 2.4.6 sub heading 13 Dal Chana it should be follow below specification.          It shall be sound, clean, sweet, dry, wholesome and free from admixture of unwholesome substances.
