Product Name:  Urad Whole (Black Gram)

Scientific Name: Phaseolus mungoLinn

51[22. Pulses: (1) This standard applies to the Whole pulse Black gram (Urad/Urd)  and they shall be free from toxic or noxious seeds and added coloring matter and also applies to mix of various pulses covered in this standard

The Black gram (Urad/Urd)  shall conform to the following standards, namely: -

Note- * Broken in whole pulse in which the cotyledon is separated or one cotyledon is broken and broken in split pulses are pulses in which the cotyledon is broken.

 DAL CHANA:            Dal Chana shall consist of split grains of gram (Cicer arietinum Linn). as per FSSAI FSS (FOOD PRODUCTS STANDARDS AND FOOD ADDITIVES) REGULATIONS, 2011, 2.4.6 sub heading 13 Dal Chana it should be follow below specification.          It shall be sound, clean, sweet, dry, wholesome and free from admixture of unwholesome substances.
