Specification of coconut Oil as per FSSAI

Specification of Coconut oil as per FSSAI Regulation              Coconut oil (naryal ka tel) means the oil expressed from copra obtained from the kernel of Cocos mucifera nuts. 1.  It shall be clear and free from rancidity, suspended or other foreign matter, separated water, added colouring or flavouring substances, or mineral oil.  2. It shall conform to the following standards:—                   a)  Butyro-refractometer reading at 40oC. 34.0 to 35.5                  b) Refractive Index at 40oC 1.4481-1.4491                  c) Saponification value Not less than 250                   d) Iodine value 7.5 to 10                  e)  Polenske Value Not less than 13                      f) Un-saponifiable matter Not more than 1.0 per cent.                   g) Acid value Not more than 6.0.                   h) Test for argemone oil shall be negative.                      However, it may contain food additives permitted in these regulations and appendices Further, if the oil is obtained

Chana Dal Specification as per FSSAI

 DAL CHANA:            Dal Chana shall consist of split grains of gram (Cicer arietinum Linn). as per FSSAI FSS (FOOD PRODUCTS STANDARDS AND FOOD ADDITIVES) REGULATIONS, 2011, 2.4.6 sub heading 13 Dal Chana it should be follow below specification.          It shall be sound, clean, sweet, dry, wholesome and free from admixture of unwholesome substances. It shall also conform to the following standards, namely:—   (i) Moisture- Maximum 16 % by weight (at 130°C-132°  for two hours). (ii) Foreign matter - Maximum 1 % by weight of which not (Extraneous matter) more than 0.25 per cent. by weight shall be mineral matter and not more than 0.10 per cent. by weight shall be impurities of animal origin. (iii) Other edible grains- Maximum 2 % by weight. (iv) Damaged grains- Maximum 5 % by weight. (v) Weevilled grains- Maximum 3 % by count. (vi) Uric acid- Maximum100 mg. per kg. Pasta Specification as per FSSAI

Specification of pasta product as per FSSAI                              (Macaroni, spaghetti, vermicelli) means the products obtained from suji or maida with or without addition of ingredients like edible groundnut flour, tapioca flour, soya flour, milk powder, spices, vitamins, minerals, by kneading the dough and extending it.  Pasta (All Verity) shall be free from added colour, dirt, insects larvae and impurities or any other extraneous matter.  It shall also conform to the following standards: Moisture                                                        - 12.5% Maximum Total ash (on dry basis)                                 - 1.0 % Maximum  Ash insoluble in dilute HCl (on dry basis)  - 0.1% Maximum Nitrogen (on dry basis )                               - 1.7 % Minimum  other than that also need to follow pesticide and micro specification  as per FSSAI Annexure
